Nodewatcher default page contains a long-loading list of nodes

Reported by: stefanb Owned by: kostko

Component: nodewatcher/modules Version:

Description (last modified by kostko) (diff)

It takes long to load, and doesn't give a meaningful overview of the status.
It would be better to show Network statistics by default
Of course this can be improved further later.

(note: nodewatcher DB seems empty since a few minutes ago, so this is not apparent at the moment)

This is because beta is randomly reset (with all data cleared and a fresh import from nodewatcher v2) when we test things.

Yes. Currently we are still just porting the stuff over. What will then be the landing page for nodewatcher is open question (and can easily be configured). List of all nodes? Global stats? Network map? List of only your nodes if you are logged in.

Also, we have not yet optimized the list and APIs. For example, we have no caching yet enabled (see #1342).

So I am closing this because it is known that we have to work more on this. Thanks for the report though. But maybe you have a more concrete proposals what would in your opinion make the first page "meaningful overview of the status". :-)
